Updating Netgear router firmware through routerlogin.net or www.routerlogin.com

The user can login using www.routerlogin.net as well as the default IP address i.e. as well to access the router’s admin login page. Updating the firmware 

  • Using an Ethernet cable, connect the desktop computer to any of the four internet ports located at the rear of the router. 
    Now, using another Ethernet cable, connect the modem to the WAN port of the router also located at the back of the router. 
    Reboot all the three devices and wait for them to finish rebooting. 
  • Open any internet browser and type www.routerlogin.net in the address bar to access the router admin page. 
    Enter the default information when prompted. The default username is “admin” and the default password is “password” for most of the Netgear routers.
  • Once successfully logged in to the router, the Setup Wizard will appear. 
  • The Setup Wizard will try to detect the type of internet connection of the user. For all the wired connections, the Setup Wizard will detect as Dynamic IP. 
  • Once the Setup Wizard has detected the internet connection type, click Next to continue. 
  • Click Save to implement the changes. 
  • Now, the user will have setup and logged in to the router without any problems. From here, the user can start configuring their router further as they desire.
